The Pipiwai Trail is one of our all-time favorite places to hike, see, and just be. Cut through a bamboo forest, the trail winds up a beautiful river valley on Maui’s eastern slope.
The bamboo filters shafts of light to create shifting patterns of shadow and green. This makes it equally gorgeous and difficult to photograph.
