Looking for a golden sand beach with an amazing view? We think Po’olenalena fits the bill.
Po’olenalena beach looks south and west from the South Maui area of Wailea toward the Molokini islet and Kaho’olawe island. The sand here is soft, golden, and abundant.
Ocean going is best in the morning before the trade winds pick up for the day, but can be fun on any calm day. Humpback whales frequently cruise by and play near this beach in the winter migration season, making whale-watching from the shore an excellent choice.
