Maui Secrets

Maui Secrets

From the lava-rich shores of South Maui, we watch in anticipation as sunset on the horizon dips between the islands of Kaho’olawe and Molokini.

Warm colors mixing with cool, sharp and blurred textures, near and far, motion and still–this picture perfect shot captures much of what we love about both Hawaii and photography.

From the Photographer:

“I’m really, really happy with this shot. The colors that came out and the way the ocean worked with me to setup the right overall feel, make me completely jazzed on this shot. I spent several evenings in this location trying to capture the magic of this place. It is super difficult to get everything just right, but every so often Mother Nature lets you have it. And by George, you better be ready when it comes. This was one of those moments where everything came together just right and fortunately for me, I was ready and got this shot of it.”

Shot with Canon 5D MKII and 17-40 L glass. Available as a 20″x30″ fine art print at www.mknbr.com
