A sunny day at the harbor next to Ala Moana in Waikiki can brighten the spirits of just about anyone. Something about the blue water, the Hawaii skyscrapers, and the idea of freedom behind the sailboats brings calm and relaxation.
This harbor sits at the base of the Ala Wai (river path) canal. The canal was instrumental in turning the marsh and fields that were old Waikiki into the metropolitan center that it is today.
I believe this photo is actually Ala Wai Yacht Harbor.
