Ma’ili Beach Park on Oahu’s leeward side has some of the best sunsets on the island. Found between the towns of Ma’ili and Waianae, this narrow beach is a great place to watch sunsets, play on the sand, or camp for an evening.

Ma’ili is a shortened Hawaiian word meaning, “lots of little pebbles.” Although the beach is sandy enough most of the time, it does have seasonal periods where the sand shifts off the beach, leaving behind pebbles and rock.

This narrow beach has undergone improvements lately including parking lot repairs and an added exercise area. Improvements and location have made this beach an increasingly popular spot for camping and birthday parties on the weekends.
