Hapuna Beach on the northwest side of the Big Island is consistently voted “best beach” by various groups. The sand is soft and plentiful, the crowds ebb and flow, and the water is clear and warm.

When the swell is in, Hapuna offers great boogie/body boarding. When the water is calm you can find great swimming, relaxing, and a bit of snorkeling.
