Solo Surfer, Big Island

A lone surfer takes off on a head high wave along the Kona coast of the Big Island with glassy smooth water and clear skies that compose a picture blending one shade of blue into another.

Waves like this are not uncommon in Hawaii; however, being on one with no other surfers in sight is. This lucky surfer beat the crowds to a lesser known spot to take in some rare solo surfing.
