A favorite swimming spot for local kids, Ho’opi’i falls make for a pleasant hike rewarded by this small double waterfall.

Translated from Hawaiian, the word ho’opi’i means to cause to climb (ascend), or to stir up ill feelings.

Ho’opi’i Falls is located near Kapa’a on the Hawaii island of Kauai. The waterfalls are on state land and accessible to visitors.
