Crazy planes, zippers, and lines of bight lights fill the sky above Maui’s War Memorial stadium at the 2012 Maui County Fair. Held annually each Fall, the fair attracts thousands of residents and visitors with rides, competitions, fair food, and live music.
We like this shot for its sense of motion and activity. For us, fair rides are a symbol of youth, honest fun, and the good ol’ days. This same feeling thrives in the county fairs held on the islands and is extended with unique Hawaiian traditions like hula, flowers, Reggae, Paniolos, and aloha.
