Another bright and beautiful hibiscus grows tall on the island of Maui, this one deep yellow with a red center. We are always astounded by the sharp color contrasts and unique look of the stamen and stigma of hibiscus. (See a nice breakdown of the anatomy of the hibiscus here.)
Perhaps more than that, we are always made happy by a bush full of blooming hibiscus…something about their colors and softness reminds us of the simple, good, and warm things in life.
