The islands of Hawaii are full of wonderful farmer’s markets. These markets have everything from locally grown flowers to handmade clothes, handicrafts, and high-end artwork.
This picture shows off some of the local stock of orchids from Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii, sometimes known as “The Orchid Isle.”
Orchids are sometimes fragrant, sometimes in bloom, and always beautiful. Hilo’s wet evenings and daytime temperatures create a perfect growing climate for these sensitive flowers.
