Storm clouds hover in the skyline as the sun sets over calm ocean waters near Haleiwa on Oahu’s North Shore. The clouds cast a purple hue into the night sky and darkened the waters below. Instead of looking threatening, the storm brought a sense of beauty and refreshment.

Haleiwa averages around 4 inches of rain a month during the winter with temperatures ranging between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit…not quite like blustery winters on the mainland US.
