The Sugar Cane Train

One of Maui’s bright red and white “Sugar Cane Trains” ages in a field near Lahaina. This double decker bus once hauled visitors all around the island, particularly in the Lahaina area to and from the Sugar Cane Train park. Today, there are a couple of these buses scattered throughout the island in various states of repair.

If you have been on Maui, there is a good chance you have seen one–perhaps this one–resting along the road from many years of hard work in the Hawaiian sun.
