Ka’ena Point Pools

Hiking, wandering, and timing…you have to earn this beautiful sunset view.

On the Wai’anea route on the island of Oahu, you can find Ka’ena Point Trail, a 3.5 mile hike that takes you near the Ka’ena Tide Pools. Wandering a bit off of the trail you will be able to find them.

The trail itself is the old railroad bed and offers little shade. The views though, filled with native birds, whale and dolphin sightings, and sunsets like this, make it worth the walk.

About Jason Matias Photography

I have been photographing landscapes ever since the day I broke the door to the roof of my dorm in North Pole, Alaska - 2005. After hearing many times that I should sell my photos I finally opened this page in Sept 2012 to show everyone my passion and, now that I am in Hawai'i, share my aloha.
