Hawaii Loa Ridge Hike

The Hawaii Loa Ridge Trail winds its way through a thick bunch of short trees, disappearing into the distance nearing the summit of the Ko’olau range.

It is in these kinds of settings that we feel the magical solitude of the islands. Once upon a time, the upland areas were accessible primarily to priests, with others only venturing upward with needs.

The Hawaii Loa Ridge Trail is a 3.5 mile hike up to 1,700 feet, traversing open land, fern forests, tree forests, and summit lands.
