Grey Maui Sunset

Low-hanging heavy clouds and wind-blown waves make for grey sunset over the Pacific ocean from the island of Maui.

Sunsets on Maui are often full of reds and purples created when the sun dips behind hidden layers of clouds on the horizon. Occasionally though, conditions are just right for a steel grey evening that feels more like being out at sea in a ship than on the beach in Hawaii.

Even so, the temperature is still warm, the ocean breezes welcome, and the sight beautiful.
