In Hawaii sometimes you’ll find a string of pearls and other times you’ll find a string of pearls…either way everything will be coming up roses.
Here a string of orchids meanders above a bed of ferns in a rain-forested area of Hawaii. These particular orchids were grown in pots nearby and then moved into place to be enjoyed by many passers-by.
Left to grow on their own, orchids like these will take root in the crooks of tree branches, right on the tree trunk, or along the ground.
