A small line of Heliconia rostrata blooms hang from their stock showing off why they are commonly called “Hanging Lobster Claw” and “False Bird of Paradise.”
These beautiful imports from Central America grow well in wetter parts of Hawaii, flowering year-round. The hanging branch of bracts grows up to 3 feet long, sometimes longer if the conditions are right.
