A Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle spreads its fins and flies over a shallow rock and reef ocean bottom in Hawaii. Honu, as they’re known in Hawaii, continue to make a strong comeback in populations throughout the islands thanks to conservation efforts.
Turtles like this can live for decades and have hundreds of offspring over a lifetime. In shallow reefs like this they are elegant swimmers, seeming to effortlessly cruise the coral.
