The sun sets just out of frame at Ko’olina’s Ulua Lagoon on Oahu casting incredible hues of blue and orange across wind-blown clouds. In the foreground, Ko’olina’s unique–and extremely sharp–tide pools edge into the mirror-calm ocean like a miniature model of high rise buildings extending to the horizon.
On the dry side of Oahu, the Ulua Lagoon (Ko’olina Lagoon 4) seems to be made for experiencing sunsets like this on an almost nightly basis. Maybe that’s part of why some of the largest new resorts, like Disney’s Aulani picked this spectacular spot.
