A rainbow arches across a soft field in upcountry Maui, as seen beneath the bows of a flowering tree.
Upcountry Maui is filled with pastoral scenes like this. From quaint towns like Makawao to the cold mountain top of Haleakala, upcountry offers a decidedly different view of Maui. Things here seem to move a little bit slower, the flowers bloom a little brighter, and the clouds hang a little lower. It is a beautiful place to spend some time.
