Yellow Plumeria, Hawaii

Yellow Plumeria Bunch

A bunch of yellow plumeria unfold in the fullness of time as the midday Hawaiian sun shines down adding to their brightness. It is hard not to feel at least a little better about your day by looking at them…if only we could smell through a picture.

These yellow and white waxy plumeria are common throughout the islands and in Mexico and Central America. They have an incredibly sweet aroma and can be smelled over quite a distance with their scent carried by the trade winds. This plumeria blooms several times a year, giving joy to anyone passing by.

About Rob DeCamp

I am a professional photographer living on Maui, in the State of Hawaii. I made my living shooting weddings, but now have shifted my energy to nature photography. What started as a hobby, has now become my passion. I love to explore nature, and capture the ever changing colors and shapes that I find. No matter how many times I go back to the same place, it never is the same. The lighting, the weather all change to give me a different feeling. I think that is what inspires me to keep shooting!
