It takes a broad palette to paint the colors of a Tracks Beach sunset. This nice beach on Oahu’s southwest coast between Nanakuli and Ko Olina pics up the sunset beautifully.
Shot in HDR, this photo brings out the contrasts of beach and sky. We often take for granted our seemingly infinite view over the ocean toward the sun here in Hawaii. Pictures like this help to remind us of the privilege of seeing ocean all the way to the horizon.
Called “Tracks” because of the train tracks running directly across from it, the beach is much less frequented than a few others nearby. This makes for ample parking and more of a local feel.
