The Humuhumu nukunuku a pua’a

The Wedgetail Triggerfish (also called the Picaso Triggerfish) was voted Hawaii’s state fish in 1984 by the Hawaii State Legislature after a vote-off of more than 55,000 people. This photo shows the humu backed by rock in Kailua-Kona’s clear waters.
