A stand up paddler and his ride-along cruise quietly across calm waters off Maui, cutting through a golden sunset ringed by heavy clouds. Hawaii sunsets are spectacular when appreciated from just about anywhere, but we must say that viewing one from ocean level with your feet wet is even better.

Stand up paddling has grown enormously in recent years and is now recognized as the fastest growing water sport in the world. Stand up paddleboards can now be regularly seen from Hawaii to mainland coasts, to the lakes and rivers of the interior.
Views like this make it easy to want to try it out. And where better than in the warm Pacific waters of Hawaii?
Was on the BIG island and Oahu in Feb/Mar 2014 and we’re coming back to Hawaii (Maui this time) for my wife’s 50th birthday in 96 days….can’t wait!
