On the beach near Makena, Maui, darker sands contrast against bright blue ocean stirred up by afternoon Maui winds. Overhead clouds begin to fill the sky while the beach below is pleasantly empty of people.
It doesn’t happen often in this part of Hawaii, but on occasion one finds oneself alone on the beach, able to soak in the solitude and relax to the sound of the ocean on the shoreline.
