Shadowy Pink Hibiscus

Shadowy Hibiscus

Breaking through the surrounding dark, a fully-bloom pink hibiscus makes a strong statement. It is easy to understand why hibiscus are loved around the planet–large, yet intricate details, bright colors, telltale stamen, and soft character.

Also known as a rose mallow, hibiscus blooms are found across the globe, having hundreds of varieties. They are sometimes used for making tea, paper, food coloring, garnish, and even food (dried hibiscus).

From the photographer:

“…a beautiful pink Hibiscus against a shadowy, dark background (with a hint of palm leaves hidden there).”
