A favorite of visitors and locals, photographers and site-seers, kids and adults, Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles are a joy to watch.
Hawaiian turtles are known for their propensity to come ashore, bathing in the warm sun and sand. For most of the rest of their time, they eat food from shallow rocks and corals, floating in and out with each wave.
Green sea turtles are capable of holding their breathe for more than 20 minutes. While awake, though, they often pop up for air every minute or two.
