Peahi (Jaws) Tow In Surfing

Winter 2014 has been a good season for big waves in Hawaii. Here, a surfer stands tall on the ride of his life, dwarfed by an enormous barreling wave at Peahi, Maui on January 22.

This wave is often known as “Jaws” for, we think, the fairly obvious reason that it can eat you whole.

To get in front of a wave like this takes serious guts. To ride it, takes serious skill, and often a jet ski bringing you up to speed. We tip our hat to this surfer.
