This amazing sand sculpture near Waikiki beach in Honolulu shows Santa Claus relaxing on the job while his crew of Menehune are hard at work. Everyone knows that in Hawaii, the Menehune take over for elves who prefer the cooler South Pole temperatures.
As the song goes, “He knows if you’ve been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake.” But if you have made the naughty list, at least your name is not carved in stone, just written in sand.
This also goes to show that there are sand castles and then there are sand sculptures. This sculpture shows off amazing detail and volume at which us amateur castle-makers marvel.
