Napo’opo’o

Napo’opo’o on the Big Island of Hawaii has a rich history filled with generations of Hawaiians, from commoners to chiefs, to the first Westerners. It is beautiful, typically calm, with a bay full of fish, and receives the benefits from rain falling farther uphill. These facts made it an ideal place for early Hawaiians settling the Kona side of the island.

Today it is still beautiful and still an ideal place for many. Personally, we love spending afternoons playing on the shore, hunting for small treasures along the rock beaches, and snorkeling along the gorgeous reef. If you’re ever near this spot, stop and check it out.
