Beautiful Moanalua Gardens reflects blue skies above on a taro patch below, surrounded by palm trees on this privately held, public park in Oahu, Hawaii.
Moanalua Gardens is site of the Kamehameha V Cottage–1850’s home of Prince Lot Kapuāiwa, who would later become King Kamehameha V. This spot also plays host to an annual hula festival and holds the Honolulu County-registered “exceptional tree” called the Hitachi Tree, which is protected by the city and county.
