From the shores of Paia, Maui the sun edges clouds orange and yellow as it retreats for the day behind the West Maui Mountains. Closer, a wave pushes onto shore in a small smoothed-rock beach while green palm trees stand sentry on the coastline.
Maui’s distinctive ‘figure eight’ shape allows for cross-ocean views like this–a classic Maui postcard scene.
From the Photographer:
“It’s a good spot. I [had] been living in Paia for a while, staring at that valley every day, but finally found a good place to shoot it from!”
