Across Maalaea Bay are the West Maui Mountains, rising dramatically from the ocean below.

Mornings on Maalaea Bay are calm and pleasant. In the afternoon the wind picks up and sparse shade means hotter weather. By evening, the winds peak and then quickly recede, making for a great place to watch sunsets.
