Lumahai Rainbow Bridge

A vibrant rainbow lights up the gray ocean horizon like an artist’s paintbrush just off shore of Lumahai, Kauai.

Hawaiian tradition holds that the gods use anuenue (rainbows) as a way to travel between the earth and the heavens. As such, seeing a rainbow was usually an encouraging sign.

Here a slight double rainbow can be seen spanning the entire picture.
