Love Your Mother

A large, round “Love Your Mother” earth sign hangs proudly on the side of an old pool hall turned surf shop in Kona. The faded yet colorful sign faces oncoming traffic, displaying the message to all passersby.
We particularly love this picture for texture of the wall, surfboards, and hibiscus plant just visible on the edge. Buildings and signage like this are a big part of what makes Hawaii feel like Hawaii–full of character, color, and a storied past. Because of these reasons, this sign is one of the most photographed spots in the area.
