Just about any day without wind at Lanikai is a great day to be on–or in–the water boating, kayaking, stand up paddling, or swimming. The inviting white sands, wispy clouds, and bright blue ocean combine to make this one of the highest ranked beaches in the islands.
Although it is public, it is not a state, county, or city beach park. It is accessible by beach access paths in a nice residential area on Oahu’s east side near Kailua town. Because of this, the beach is pleasantly empty some of the time, adding to its allure.
