Kualoa Park Sunrise

Silhouetted palm trees overlook a calm ocean sunrise from Kualoa Park, in Wailuku, Maui.

Because this park looks east, the morning view of the sunrise is direct. On the north side of the island, this spot typically has a breeze, adding to the affect of the palms on the scene.

In winter months, this shoreline is pounded with some of the biggest waves around.
