Kaunolu Village, Lanai

Lanai’s southern sea cliffs look imposing against the colored sky and calm ocean.

Kaunolu Village was known as a fishing retreat. Used by royalty like King Kamehameha I, it was–and still is–a spectacular get away.

For entertainment, one can consider diving into the ocean from spots along the tall cliffs: known as “Kehekili’s Leap”, it is a 60-foot dive that proved bravery.
