Kauai Water Lilly

The island of Kauai is known as, “The Garden Isle” for it’s lush hillsides and valleys carpeted in life. This beautiful purple water lily captured on Kauai is a good representation of the bursts of color seen all around the island. Flowers like this cover resort-side landscaping and backyards, while more tropical Hawaiian flowers cover the the land all around.

We enjoy this picture for its sense of motion. Even though it is a still shot, the water droplets sliding down petals and the bright yellow stamens give us an active feeling.

Garden ponds which is located on the north shore of kauai in the town of kilauea we have over 42 varieties of water lilies.
