Hawaii Homegrown Pineapple

Homegrown Pineapple

One of the joys of living in Hawaii is a wide variety of “cut and poke” plants–just cut a plant branch, stem, or other appropriate part and poke it into the ground. A little water and a little time later and a full grown plant has taken root. This is the way with Pineapple.

To grow a pineapple, one has to have a pineapple top. Once you find a pineapple that you really enjoy, just cut off the top and plant it. Keep in growing for about two years, and a enjoy a new, fully grown fruit. If you have taken great care of the plant, you may even get a second pineapple from it a while later.

Not to mention, pineapple make excellent models for photos.
