Hawaiians Remember 9-11

Hawaiians were affected along with the rest of the United States by the September 11th, 2001 attacks. This photo shows a group of Hawaiians remembering and honoring the victims of 9-11 and the men and women who have served to protect us since on the 10th anniversary of the attacks.

The photo was taken roadside in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. The alternating US flags and Hawaii state flags were preceded by a memorial made of stones and adorned with flower leis.
