From the island of Maui looking toward the island of Lanai you will find some of the best Hawaii sunsets around. Here bright golden hues take over the sky while the once turquoise waters turn black. As the sun settles low behind previously hidden clouds on the horizon, the island is silhouetted.
On the ‘Au’au channel that separates Maui and Lanai, you can just make out a small fishing boat sitting silently to take in the sunset before heading back to port in either Lahina or Maalaaea harbors.
