Gin Island

Looking for a private beach to enjoy Hawaii in seclusion? Gin Island in the French Frigate Shoals is part of what is collectively known as the Northwest Hawaiian Islands. Called, “Kānemilohaʻi” in Hawaiian, it is rarely visited by anyone other than researchers and the seals and turtles visible in this picture.

Be sure to bring your own shade and drinking water…you will find neither here. But you will find an abundance of sea life, corals, birds, and turtles all enjoying the tranquil setting unharassed by Western life on this remote island.
