Fruit of the Pineapple

A miniature variety of Pineapple grows red and white on the Big Island of Hawaii, ripening in the sun and rain.

A lesser-know fact about pineapples is that they take nearly two years to mature into the tasty treat that we enjoy.  And, each plant typically produces only one fruit in its lifetime. That means that once it is picked and eaten the plant is likely done for production.

Cherish each pineapple you get…they take as much time, care, and love as some wines, and often taste better.
