Even with an unobstructed horizon in Hawaii, it is not often that we get to see the sun touch the ocean. Typically low-hanging clouds that remain unseen until the sun drifts behind them block the final few seconds of daylight.
Occasionally though, we get the privilege of seeing every last second of sunshine leading up to the legendary green flash.
