This nearly full moon rose over the North Kohala mountains on Hawaii’s Big Island.
The landscape here looks reminiscent of the rolling Midwest planes. Don’t be fooled though, even at this higher elevation on the island, underneath the brush is solid lava rock giving up only enough territory to let a few plants grow.
