Aloha Flower Friday! A beautiful bunch of pink and yellow plumeria shine brightly with fresh rainfall still clinging to their petals. This variety of Rainbow Plumeria with a bright red center fading into alternating yellow and pink petal sides is less commonly seen in Hawaii.
Plumeria are unique not only in their powerful and immediately recognizable fragrance, but also in their method of propagation. Unlike many flowers that produce nectar to feed and incentivize pollinators, plumeria instead feign pollen, keeping insects moving from one flower to the next in constant search of food while never giving them any.
