Rising from the Pacific Ocean like something from a spy novel, the Na Pali cliffs on Kauai’s northern coastline are truly an amazing site to behold. The sight divides into horizontal slices of blue, red, green, and white like a rainbow-layered cake as your view moves up from bright ocean to cloud-covered mountain top.
“Na Pali” literally translates–fittingly–to “The Cliffs.” Hundreds of years of generous rainfall have carved intricate patterns into lush, tropical plant covered hills that sharply plummet hundreds of feet to the white sand beach below.
If ever you have the chance to experience this view from the ocean, we heartily recommend that you take it.
