Ka’anapali Coast Beach

Maui sands stretch toward the sea and sailboats anchored near shore at Ka’anapali. This is a typical scene on the west side of Maui n the afternoon–sail boats at anchor, light clouds, warm beach, and the islands of Lana’i and Moloka’i in the distance.

It is a good spot to pull up a chair, lay out a towel and enjoy the view. In the winter months, you are likely to see several humpback whales cruise by. Any time of year, you have the chance of watching sea turtles, outrigger canoes, and small-kine waves.
